Alandur magistrate court today cancelled the conditional bail granted to Azmi, a Kuwaiti girl who arrived here last week using a fake passport along with his boyfriend cum husband...

The girl loved Khadar Basha of Andhra Pradesh, who was working as a driver in her house in Kuwait. The girl became pregnant and fearing severe punishment for both in her country, she eloped with his boyfriend and came to Chennai with a fake passport.

They were detained by the immigration officials at the chennai airport for possessing fake passport and handed over to the airport police.

The police produced them in the magistrate court which released them on bail on the condition that they should sign the register at the police station daily.

But they failed to turn up for the last three days and their whereabouts were not known.

When the couple came to the police station this morning to sign the register, they were taken to the court again. The magistrate cancelled their bail and ruled that since they failed to honour the court order, they should be lodged in jail.

Police sources said they would be imprisoned in the Vellore jail.
